The drainage specialist attending found the business had closed the doors as there was sewage backing up that they couldn’t stop. The blockage was traced to the soil vent pipe. A access point was located in the pipe work and when removed heavy scale was found in the pipe work. The scale was from the urinal system in the floor above. Due to no maintenance on the pipe work the stack blocked as the bore was cut from 100mm to around 30mm.

A drain CCTV survey was carried out first to establish the extent of the damage. Then a high powered mechanical machine was used to fully clean and re bored the pipe work back to its original condition.
